Shared meals in real homes.

PlatedBy brings six to eight guests together around a fixed menu chosen and cooked by a skilled home host.

Come alone or with someone you know. The host has a seat too.

The experience

The whole evening matters

Each PlatedBy table is shaped by a particular host, home, and menu.

The food may come from the host’s region, family, travels, or simply years of cooking something well. What matters is that the meal has a point of view and the table feels welcoming.

We keep the group small so people can eat, talk, and settle into the evening without the noise or turnover of a restaurant.

What a PlatedBy table looks like

Six to eight seats · the host is one of them

  1. 01

    Inside a real home

Each gathering takes place in the host’s home rather than a restaurant or commercial event venue.

  2. 02

    Six to eight guests

The table is large enough for different people and small enough for everyone to be part of the same evening.

  3. 03

One menu chosen by the host

The host decides what they want to cook and shares the menu before guests request a seat.

  4. 04

    The host joins the table

The person cooking is part of the evening. They may step away to finish a dish, but they do not spend the meal standing over the guests.

How PlatedBy works

Step 1

Discover a table

When a table is announced, see the host, menu, date, area, price, and important dietary information before deciding whether the evening is for you.

Step 2

Ask for a seat

Message PlatedBy through WhatsApp. Tell us who is attending and share any dietary requirements.

Step 3

Receive the details

PlatedBy confirms availability and shares the information guests need for the event. The exact home address remains private until a place is confirmed.

Step 4

Join the table

Arrive, meet the host and the other guests, and share the meal.

General questions

Yes. Many guests do. Most people around the table may be meeting for the first time.

Some may arrive together, but PlatedBy tables are not intended only for existing groups.

Yes. The host has a seat too.

They may step away while finishing a dish, but they share the meal with the group.

The public website shows only the neighbourhood and city.

The exact home address is shared with confirmed guests before the event.

Each event includes dietary and allergen information.

Tell PlatedBy what you require before requesting a seat. Because menus are fixed and prepared in home kitchens, not every adjustment will be possible.

We speak with potential hosts about their food, menu, home setting, guest capacity, and how they plan to welcome the table.

A host does not need to be a professional chef. They do need to cook well, communicate clearly, and care about the complete evening.
